Updated Progress

05/14/25
At this stage, most of the work has centered around cleaning and hauling out debris. The borrower has also begun testing some restoration work on the gutters. He tried removing one in hopes of reclaiming and repainting it, but after closer inspection, it looks like a full replacement will be necessary to ensure proper sealing and finish.

He’s also taken a closer look at the sunroom area, which has raised some structural concerns. There appears to be bowing in that section, possibly tied to how the original crawlspace was enclosed—or, more accurately, not enclosed properly. A contractor has been brought in to assess the situation, and the early impression is that the addition may not have been built to standard in the first place. He’s waiting on that formal quote to come in for the next steps.
As for the windows, it’s looking like installation is still about a week out—possibly sooner if he can line up someone with more immediate availability. Overall, things are still in the early phases, but the borrower is making steady progress and staying proactive about the bigger-picture issues.
